Zoe Fry

Zoe Fry OBE

Executive director, The Outstanding Society CIC and
chair, South East Regional Social Care Nursing Advisory Council

Zoe Fry is a director of the Outstanding Society Community Interest Company, which shares and celebrates best practice in social care. Ms Fry, a registered nurse, started working in care homes at the age of 13. It was here that her love for the older generation began. In the NHS, she worked as a surgical ward sister, a matron for general medicine, and then developed her business skills as a general manager. In 2008, Ms Fry bought a nursing home and transformed it, celebrating ‘outstanding’ ratings from the Care Quality Commission in 2014 and then again in 2017. In 2023 she was recognised for services in social care and services to nursing with an OBE in the King’s birthday honours. Zoe feels privileged to work in social care.

Zoe Fry is speaking at the following session on Thursday 24 October:

  • Colleagues in conversation - Using data to reduce infection in care homes
