Accessibility
In line with the DDA requirements, and the best practice detailed by the World Wide Web Consortium Web Accessibility Initiative, RCNi's aim is to develop all content for this site to compliant standards.
Specific accessibility features in place include hidden scalable font sizes and the visual layout is controlled by external CSS (including page width and colours).
Scalable fonts are type fonts that can be resized (enlarged or reduced) without being distorted.
CSS (cascading style sheets) benefit accessibility primarily by separating document structure from presentation. This means the HTML can be simplified, which in turn means the documents more accessible for end users.
