Winnie George

Winnie George is a national programme lead in the national staff engagement and retention team at NHS England. She is an RCNi editorial board member. Other past roles include associate director of nursing, midwifery and AHP education, preceptorship lead and preceptorship educator at Barts Health NHS Trust. Ms George also worked as a community nurse, tissue viability clinical nurse specialist and wound care clinical lead in East London. She has more than 20 years’ healthcare experience and is an honorary lecturer for nursing at City University of London, where she attained her nursing qualification. She has a passion for coaching, mentoring, developing others and is a strong champion for inclusive, kind and compassionate leadership.
