Patrick Nyarumbu is executive director of strategy, people and partnerships and deputy chief executive officer at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. He is also a governor at Birmingham City University. He was previously director of nursing, leadership and quality for NHS England and NHS Improvement (East of England) and deputy regional chief nurse for the Midlands and East of England. Mr Nyarumbu is a mental health nurse by background and has worked in a wide range of NHS organisations covering mental health, acute and specialist services as well as in primary care and clinical commissioning groups. He is passionate about leadership development, talent management and championing diversity. He founded the Jabali Men’s Network and is the current chair. He was awarded an MBE in 2022 in the Queen’s New Year Honours.
