Ofrah Muflahi’s passion for nursing began at an early age when she saw the care nursing staff gave her unwell mother. Ms Muflahi has more than two decades’ clinical and nursing experience in various roles in and outside the NHS: in paediatrics, community nursing, quality governance, project management and quality improvement. She was the winner of the 2008 Mary Seacole Leadership Award, which supports nursing staff to improve the care of patients from black and minority ethnic communities. Ms Muflahi champions equality and is found director of the British Arab Nursing and Midwifery Association. She has held board roles in multiple charities, including at Kidney Care UK and Age UK and, have begun her nursing career as a healthcare assistant, is now RCN professional lead for the nursing support workforce. She is a non-executive director in the NHS and strives to support innovation and ethical leadership.
