Nutmeg Hallett is an associate professor of mental health nursing at the University of Birmingham, specialising in coercion and restrictive practices. Her research focuses on improving care for vulnerable populations, particularly those in forensic and inpatient mental health settings. Dr Hallett has published extensively on healthcare patient, staff and student experiences. She is passionate about enhancing safety and well-being in clinical environments and advancing the professional development of nurses. Dr Hallett is also a committed educator, mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
