Nicola Baily studied nursing at Queen’s University Belfast and started her career in emergency medicine and surgical nursing. However, her true passion lay in women’s health and she went on to specialise in sexual and reproductive healthcare. She is currently working in Bristol developing a new service for women. She is also about to start an MSc in advanced clinical practice.

In 2021, Ms Bailey was named RCN Nurse of the Year. In May 2023 she was awarded an OBE for her services to women’s healthcare in Northern Ireland. She continues to work relentlessly on women’s health ensuring women have access to health services.
