Lynn Woolsey is the RCN’s acting chief nursing officer, in which role she provides strategic leadership, management and coordination for nursing with a focus on workforce, practice and regulation UK-wide. She represents the college’s more than 450,000 members, working with regulators, professional bodies, stakeholders and governments. Ms Woolsey has held a variety of clinical nursing posts in acute medicine and specialist surgery as well as in management and leadership, including as assistant director and transformational lead for an acute mental health and learning disabilities hospital. She was deputy chief nurse for Northern Ireland.
