Kelly McCarrick is a registered adult nurse and clinical studies officer at the Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP). She began working in healthcare in 2012 as a support worker in community care, before starting nurse training. In 2022, Ms McCarrick won the Innovation in Practice award at Chester University's Celebrating Achievement and Practice Excellence awards, for her outstanding end-of-life care support to families and carers.

Ms McCarrick is passionate about improving communication between healthcare teams and the families and carers of individuals receiving end-of-life care at home. She is leading a quality improvement project involving four CWP community care teams and has presented on the project at various events, including the trust’s 2023 research conference and the National Institute for Health and Care Research 2024 Northwest Coast Palliative Care event.
