Jo Marinas is an internationally educated nurse (IEN) and has previously worked in the Philippines and in the Middle East in senior clinical, education and leadership roles before migrating to the UK in the late 1990s. In his current role, he is responsible for nursing undergraduate education and postgraduate professional development. He has also led on the recruitment of 700 IENs for his organisation. He has introduced the Grow Our Own Nurses Project, Golden Ticket Scheme, Scouse School and many more to improve recruitment, retention and experiences of staff. One of his advocacies is equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. He is a doctoral student at the University of Liverpool.
