Faye Cody

Faye Cody is an associate lecturer in practice simulation and an operating department practitioner (ODP) who has been registered with the HCPC since 2019. In the NHS, she has worked with adult and paediatric patients in gynaecology and obstetrics, emergency care, orthopaedic trauma and plastic surgery. During the Covid-19 pandemic she worked in intensive care. Her experience as an ODP has helped to develop her resilience, and she is able to adapt to change and remain calm during conflict or emergency situations. While working in clinical practice, Ms Cody mentored and advised a variety of students studying towards many allied health professional and medical degrees. She is an advocate of evidence-based practice and reflects regularly on experiences working in the ever changing/innovating sector of health and higher education.
