Emma Johnston Smith qualified as an adult registered nurse in 2011, and worked as a health visitor across the north west. In 2019 she moved to Liverpool John Moores University where she worked as a senior lecturer in adult nursing, before taking up post as principal lecturer: undergraduate nursing in 2023. She has experience of leading cohorts and working with practice partners, and is programme leader for the BSc nursing programme. Ms Johnston Smith is passionate about delivering high standard nurse education.
