Professor Dave Clarke has a clinical background in adult and children’s intensive care services and moved into academia 24 years ago. He has worked in senior leadership positions for several years as professor of nursing and latterly dean and head of school. He was also an active member of the RCN as a forum committee member and chair over a period of eight years. He is a passionate children’s nurse and nurse academic who supports others in their development and development of the profession. He joined the RCN in late 2021 as head of the RCN Prince of Wales Nursing Cadet Scheme and is associate director for education in the RCN Institute of Nursing Excellence.
