A former nurse, Clare Lomas joined Nursing Standard in 2011 as the opinion editor. After qualifying in 1998 she specialised in cardiac nursing and thrombosis research, and also has a degree in sociology and social psychology. She is now responsible for the careers content of all RCNi journals and also heads up the student product, NS Student. She is always keen to hear from new authors, both nursing students and registered nurses, so please do get in touch with your ideas.
