Andy Winter, assistant professor in health simulation, is an educator and doctoral student researching the gap between education on and delivery of breaking bad news, and the potential of simulation to bridge this gap. With 24 years’ experience in healthcare and education, he is passionate about interprofessional simulation and the use of blended technologies and how to use them for greatest impact. He is dedicated to linking healthcare education with serious gaming through gamification. He supports healthcare simulation development at Coventry University and is a registered children and young person’s nurse.
