Allyson Sanderson joined HC-One in June 2023, and became involved with the Nurturing Innovation in Care Home Excellence in Leeds research initiative. Her role encompasses governance and clinical standards, as well as staff education. It is varied and every week is different. Ms Sanderson previously worked in academia for 14 years with pre-registration nurses and healthcare postgraduates. She is passionate about education and ensuring knowledge is current, with application to the provision of high-quality person-centred care.

Ms Sanderson has worked as an emergency care practitioner and a clinical nurse specialist in ophthalmology. She is undertaking a doctorate of professional practice on attitudes to ocular tissue donation.
